Job Description

We are seeking a hardworking, dependable New Install Groundman to join our team. This position primarily supports underground (UG) lighting and power installations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, and ready to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment. Our company headquarters is in Toccoa, GA, but your primary work location will be in Lawrenceville, GA.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Site Preparation & Support:
Working with your team to get a strategy on completing the assigned tasks each day. You will also be responsible for keeping the jobsite clean and helping to manage tools.
Material & Equipment Handling:
Load/unload, clean, maintain, and stock trucks with necessary material. Learning to operate equipment.
Physical Labor:
Perform hand digging, backfill holes or trenches as needed. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Assist Linemen:
Aid in erecting poles, sagging wire, installing transformers, and performing the task at hand.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE.
Requirements Physical Strength:
Ability to lift heavy objects (minimum of 50 pounds), work outside (rain, heat, cold), and work at heights or in trenches.
Licensing:
Clean driving background with a valid license. A plus would be valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
Skills:
Good attitude, willingness to learn and be a team player, and dependable. A plus would be a basic knowledge of electrical construction tools, machinery, and proficiency in knot tying.
Availability:
Must be available for emergency power restoration, including nights and weekends.
