Job Description
Tomball ISD is looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to join our Grounds Maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and taking pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive school grounds and athletic facilities. What You'll Do Maintain district grounds, landscaped areas, and athletic fields Operate mowers, tractors, trucks, trailers, and other grounds equipment Assist with irrigation repairs and general irrigation maintenance Help prepare, layout, and stripe athletic fields Perform routine and preventative maintenance on grounds equipment Transport and set up equipment for district and athletic events Complete required daily logs and reports Work with the Grounds team to complete daily assignments and special projects Perform other grounds-related duties as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Valid Texas Class C driver's license Clean driving record Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check Grounds maintenance or related experience preferred Experience operating commercial grounds equipment is a plus Irrigation repair experience is a plus Athletic field maintenance experience is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work outdoors Physical & Work Requirements This is an active, hands-on position that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in changing weather conditions. Some overtime or schedule adjustments may be needed for athletic events, district activities, or special projects. Why Join Our Team?
