We are looking for a Heavy civil superintendent to work in West Texas along with traveling to other parts of Texas and surrounding states when needed. We provide our clients with highly skilled teams that perform projects that include earthwork, underground utilities, wastewater ponds, reclamation, structures, substations, and concrete. Don't miss the opportunity to become part of a team that strives for quality and innovation. The Civil Superintendent is responsible for the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of the project. This position will provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project including - equipment maintenance, subcontractors, and labor. While there are specific responsibilities and expectations described below, it is essential that the Earthwork Superintendent be organized, possess good judgement skills, communicate effectively, and have technical knowledge.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES

• Manage and lead crews to construct a variety of heavy civil projects.
• Adhere to company quality standards for project execution through completion.
• Competent in interpreting and reading project documents. Blueprints, specifications, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by the project management team.
• Assist with planning project schedules.
• Site Planning (Office, security, Delivery Flow, Laydown, Parking, Traffic)
• Traveling to other sites in different state locations
• Daily Reports - including daily inspections of equipment
• QA/QC paperwork

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience performing site work or other large earthwork projects.
• Knowledge of maintaining heavy equipment
• Strong Communication Skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to understand and execute working schematics and company standards.
• Operation monitoring and implementation of construction performance measures.
• Strong knowledge of Heavy Civil Construction.
• Knowledge of all Earth Work Equipment such as Dozer, Scraper, Excavator etc .
• Strong Leadership/Supervision Skills.
• Field Management
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• A commitment to safety.
• The drive to produce quality work every time.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to work 50-60 hours a week on a regular basis.

CERTIFICATIONS

• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (Preferred but not required)
• OSHA 30 Hour Certification (Preferred but not required)
• Confined Space Entry Supervisor (Preferred but not required)
• Excavation and Trenching Competent Person (Preferred but not required) Working Environment and Conditions This position is based in West Texas but traveling to other locations will be required.

This position also requires working indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to wind, sun, rain, and cold weather. Essential Job Functions

• Lift 50 pounds
• Occasionally climb sloped earth and maneuver through uneven terrain
• Work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Occasionally climb stairs and ladders
• Bend, Twist, quat, and kneel.
• Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• The employee will lift, push, pull, and carry objects using abdominal and lower back muscles.
• Requires good manual dexterity and multi-limbed coordination.
