Job Summary We are seeking a candidate that is able to build wooden shipping crates/pallets, along with performing general warehouse duties (some forklift). In this role, you will be responsible for preparing good to be shipped, build specific crates or pallets for the material being shipped is secure for shipping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, experience using power and hand tools, and to perform general warehouse duties such as preparing items for shipping, restocking inventory, sit down forklift are used on occasion, and ensure the warehouse is free of any debris and a variety of other warehouse duties. This will be a temp to hire position with room for growth. Responsibilities Use hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices to cut, assemble, and secure wood or other construction materials. Operate power tools including woodworking drills, saws, sanders, and nail guns while following proper safety protocols. Construct crates using wood framing techniques, ensuring stability, durability, and compliance with industry standards. Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished crates safely throughout the manufacturing process. Inspect completed crates for quality assurance, making adjustments or repairs as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during production. Perform other jobs as assigned by management. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, or woodworking. Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and crate fabrication. Experience with construction plans, technical drawings interpretation, and fabrication processes. Familiarity with wood construction materials such as plywood, dimensional lumber, and framing components. Knowledge of power tool safety procedures and best practices for heavy lifting. Background in residential or commercial carpentry, remodeling, or restoration industries is preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. You must pass a drug screen and meet the criminal background requirements (no felonies 7yrs. / No misdemeanors 3yrs.)

Work Hours:

6:30am-5pm Mon-Thursday + Occasional Friday if needed

Pay:
