Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality carpentry work across a variety of projects, ensuring that all tasks meet safety standards, specifications, and client expectations. As a vital member of our team, you will contribute to building durable structures, restoring existing facilities, and delivering exceptional results on time and within scope. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Construct, install, repair, and maintain frameworks such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and roofing systems using hand tools and power tools. Perform framing work including metal stud framing, wood framing, and concrete forming with precision and efficiency. Install fixtures such as cabinetry, doors, siding, trim carpentry elements, and other finishing components. Conduct restoration projects involving water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, mold remediation, and general renovation tasks. Measure materials accurately for fabrication and installation; perform heavy lifting safely to handle large or cumbersome items. Utilize schematics and technical instructions to ensure projects adhere to design specifications while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites. Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and oversight to apprentice carpenters and laborers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and company standards. Demonstrate strong teamwork by communicating respectfully, supporting coworkers, and contributing to a positive, productive jobsite culture. Experience Proven experience as a journeyman carpenter or in a similar construction role with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics. Hands-on experience with trim carpentry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall installation (including plastering), flooring installation, tile laying, roofing work, siding installation, and fixture hanging. Proven ability to mentor apprentice carpenters and laborers while promoting quality workmanship, productivity, and jobsite safety. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws (including CNC machinery), chisels; power tools including drills and saws; and specialized equipment for rebar installation or concrete forming. Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation. Experience working on various construction sites with adherence to safety standards; knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, masonry techniques, and water damage restoration is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings for fabrication or assembly tasks; experience with schematics relevant to carpentry or manufacturing is desirable. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in diverse environments; excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting onsite issues.
