Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial projects, utilizing a wide range of carpentry and construction skills. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. You will perform a variety of tasks including framing, trim work, installation, and site preparation, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to exact specifications. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry while supporting your professional growth. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, fixture mounting, and general carpentry tasks. Prepare construction sites by measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and other building materials. Assist with heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment. Perform specialized tasks such as rebar installation, concrete forming, roofing, siding, stucco application, drywall finishing (plastering), and water damage restoration. Follow safety protocols including power tool safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support restoration projects by performing tasks like mold remediation, caulking, electrical wiring assistance, plumbing rough-ins, masonry work, flooring installation, tile laying, and electrical experience as needed. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings. Experience with construction estimating and understanding construction plans. Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, saws) and power tools for woodworking and metal stud framing. Knowledge of wood construction materials such as lumber, plywood, siding materials, drywall components, and fixtures. Ability to operate woodworking machines safely for fabrication tasks. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and proper use of scaffolding or ladders on construction sites. Experience in residential carpentry including door hanging, cabinet installation, fixture mounting, remodeling projects, flooring installation (tile or hardwood), and interior finishing. Understanding of schematics related to electrical or plumbing systems; basic electrical or plumbing experience is a plus. Knowledge of safety standards related to power tools and construction site protocols. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as restoration industry projects or general remodeling jobs. Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
