About the Position Makeover and Finishes Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee residential renovation and construction projects throughout the Greater Boston area. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry experience, leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors and daily job-site activities. This position requires someone dependable, organized, proactive, and committed to quality workmanship and job-site safety. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities at residential construction sites.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
• Review project plans, drawings, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
• Perform and oversee carpentry work, including framing, finish carpentry, doors, windows, trim, cabinets, and related tasks.
• Monitor project progress and report updates, delays, material needs, and job-site concerns to the Project Manager.
• Confirm that subcontractors arrive as scheduled and complete their assigned work properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Conduct quality-control inspections and prepare punch lists.
• Communicate professionally with clients, inspectors, subcontractors, and the office team.
• Document job-site progress with photos, notes, and daily updates.
• Identify problems early and assist with practical solutions to keep projects moving.
• Protect clients' homes, company materials, tools, and equipment. Required Qualifications
• At least 10 years of professional carpentry and residential construction experience.
• Previous experience supervising construction crews or subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and general construction practices.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings.
• Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Greater Boston area.
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Must own basic carpentry hand tools necessary for the position.
• Ability to use a smartphone for photos, messages, schedules, and project updates.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of job-site responsibilities.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete the required employment eligibility verification process.
• Ability to safely lift construction materials and perform the physical duties of the position. Preferred Qualifications
• Portuguese speaking is preferred to support communication with our multilingual field team.
• Experience with Buildertrend or other construction management software.
• Experience working on additions, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, and whole-home renovations. What We Are Looking For
