Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, and compliant with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, utilizing your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional results. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems including wiring, lighting, panels, and high-voltage circuits. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify issues efficiently. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and install industrial electrical systems in accordance with project specifications. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using advanced diagnostic techniques and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to electrical safety procedures and best practices during all phases of work. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting systems, high-voltage wiring, and industrial electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Experience working on construction sites involving renovation projects or new installations within commercial settings. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for complex low voltage and high voltage systems. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or maintenance tasks. Additional skills such as frame carpentry or handyman experience are a plus for versatile project support.
