Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, particularly in high voltage environments and construction sites. This role involves installing, maintaining, and renovating electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyperson Electrician will work with various tools and equipment, including power tools and logic controllers, to complete projects efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical systems for functionality and safety. Work with high voltage equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project completion. Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or meet updated standards. Ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations as well as the NEC standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high voltage applications, and power tools. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in various settings. Proficient in reading schematics and technical documents related to electrical installations. Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration on construction sites. Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
