ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE

In the first 30 days and ongoing: Work closely with project management and superintendents to understand project scope, schedules, and electrical requirements for each assignment. Perform all electrical installations, connections, and initial system setup on aquatic construction projects including commercial pools, water features, and splash pads. Review electrical blueprints and specifications in detail to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of design requirements. Maintain daily logs documenting electrical work completed, materials used, labor hours, and any issues or modifications encountered. Within the 3rd month mark and ongoing: Display strong working competency installing branch circuits, conduit runs, control panels, and lighting systems in aquatic environments with minimal supervision. Demonstrate proficiency troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing corrective solutions in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinate seamlessly with mechanical, plumbing, and other trade contractors to ensure proper electrical integration with all project systems. Support the submittal and approval process for electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance and timely delivery. Assist with RFI preparation and respond to project-related electrical questions and change requests. Within the 6th month mark and ongoing: Work independently on complex electrical installations with demonstrated understanding of aquatic-specific control systems and smart technology integration. Consistently deliver work that meets quality standards and passes all inspections on the first attempt, with zero safety incidents or code violations. Mentor apprentices and junior electricians on proper installation techniques, safety protocols, and aquatic-specific electrical best practices. Proactively identify opportunities for efficient installation methods and value engineering solutions that reduce costs without compromising quality. 9th-12th month mark and ongoing: Proactively suggest ideas to improve electrical processes, installation methods, and project efficiencies based on field experience and lessons learned. Demonstrate leadership on jobsites by modeling professionalism, safety-first mentality, and collaborative teamwork with all trades and project stakeholders. Provide valuable input during project planning and pre-construction meetings to ensure electrical work is accurately scheduled and resourced.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Valid California Journeyman Electrician License or higher (Master Electrician preferred) required 5+ years of electrical construction experience required Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in aquatic, water feature, or splash pad electrical installations required Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems common to aquatic environments including pool lighting, smart pump control systems, automated chemical controllers, backwash systems, water feature controls, pumps, auto-fill systems, wind sensor systems, and GFCI-protected circuits required Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), California Electrical Code (CEC), and local municipal electrical requirements required Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and specifications with precision and accuracy required Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills required Demonstrated strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders required Proven history of successfully learning new technology and systems quickly, including control system programming and smart automation technology highly preferred Basic to intermediate working knowledge and experience with computer skills and programs including MS Word, Excel, and project management software required Possession of a clean driving record and valid CA Driver's License required CPR/First Aid certification preferred OSHA 10 certification preferred CADD or electrical design software experience preferred
