We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician with industrial experience to join our maintenance team at a high-production lumber sawmill. This role is critical to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems supporting sawmill and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
Diagnose and repair motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, MCCs, and production machinery
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to support continuous operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
Participate in shutdowns, upgrades, and capital improvement projects as needed
Qualifications:
Valid Journeyman Electrician license
Industrial electrical experience (sawmill, manufacturing, or heavy industrial preferred)
Strong troubleshooting skills in high-voltage and low-voltage systems
Experience with motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required
Preferred Experience:
Lumber sawmill or wood products manufacturing experience
PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
Experience with conveyors, kilns, debarkers, planers, or similar equipment
