Wastewater System Serviceperson (Industrial Electrician)
Location:

New Stanton STP Job Overview:
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County is seeking a skilled Wastewater System Serviceperson (Industrial Electrician) to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment across all Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pump Stations. Work is primarily scheduled from the New Stanton Main Campus, with travel required to various sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, adjust, and rebuild pumps, control valves, and pump control valves Troubleshoot and repair single and three-phase pump controls, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and switchgear (up to 480V) Read and apply electrical drawings Use handheld computers/laptops for diagnostics and record-keeping Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and related equipment Install, maintain, and repair flow, pressure, and level transmitters and receivers Maintain and repair flow metering equipment Complete routine system and equipment checklists and keep accurate records Ensure good housekeeping in all work locations Perform other duties as assigned by
Wastewater Supervisors Requirements:
Valid driver's license Ability to demonstrate skills in commercial wiring and installation, reading and applying electrical drawings, hydraulics, and precision mechanical, electrical, and electronic measuring equipment (upon job award) Prior electrical maintenance experience and
NFPA 70E
training preferred
