Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to negotiate contracts and manage costs effectively. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to create comprehensive cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and constraints. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Prepare detailed reports outlining the estimated costs associated with various construction projects. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to maintain budget control. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software (Bluebeam). Strong understanding of construction site operations and management. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers. Knowledge of cost control measures within construction projects. Familiarity with contract management processes in the construction industry. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
