Salary:
Up to $115,000 per year , depending on experience Candidates with any current visa/work authorization status may be considered , subject to applicable employment requirements. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in Heavy Civil Construction and HCSS HeavyBid to support estimating and preconstruction activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with construction takeoffs, bidding, subcontractor/vendor coordination, and developing accurate project estimates. Required Qualifications Strong experience in Heavy Civil Construction estimating . HCSS HeavyBid experience is strongly preferred and is the primary requirement. Candidates without HCSS may be considered only if they have exceptionally strong Heavy Civil estimating experience . Experience with construction takeoffs, bidding, and cost estimating. Experience with earthwork, utilities, concrete, site development, or other Heavy Civil scopes. Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes, and subcontractor pricing. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work on-site in Chagrin Falls, OH . Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed estimates, bids, and cost proposals for Heavy Civil construction projects. Perform quantity takeoffs and review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and vendors. Develop scopes of work and bid packages. Review project requirements, identify scope gaps, and assess potential risks. Support subcontractor negotiations and procurement activities. Prepare and manage change-order estimates. Coordinate with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and clients. Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project cost information. Compensation & Work Authorization Salary up to $115,000 , based on qualifications and experience. This is an on-site position . Candidates with any current visa/work authorization status may be considered , subject to applicable employment requirements. Ideal Background The strongest candidates will have a combination of Heavy Civil estimating experience + HCSS Heavy Bid , particularly experience estimating projects involving earthwork, utilities, concrete, excavation, site development, and related civil construction scopes.
