In this role, you will be responsible for sanding and refinishing floor and ensure high-quality finishes that meet industry standards. Your expertise will help transform spaces by revitalizing worn or damaged floors, contributing to the overall aesthetic and safety of commercial and residential environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a local contractor. Duties Prepare flooring surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing existing floors to ensure optimal conditions for refinishing or installation Apply finishing products such as stains, sealers, varnishes, or epoxy coatings to enhance durability and appearance of floors Install various flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, and carpets with precision and attention to detail Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing flooring component. Skills Extensive experience in flooring installation and refinishing across multiple materials such as hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, and carpet Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, scrapers) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) used in flooring projects Skilled in manual handling techniques necessary for lifting heavy materials safely during installation or restoration projects Experience with floor restoration processes including buffing, water damage repair, and detailed floor care routines Knowledge of related construction disciplines such as carpentry, remodeling, cabinet installation, drywall finishing, and general handyman skills Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting technical instructions Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert flooring.
