Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of construction machinery and material handling equipment to support large-scale building projects. Your expertise will ensure efficient site operations, adherence to safety standards, and the timely completion of tasks. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skidsteers, loaders, and backhoes to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transportation tasks Maintain and perform routine inspections on construction machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery on-site Conduct basic mechanical maintenance on equipment, including checking hydraulics, lubricating parts, and troubleshooting minor issues Assist with site preparation activities by managing soil movement, debris removal, and site cleanup using various construction machinery Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and ensure safety measures are followed at all times during operations Ability to work seamlessly with a team of owners, employees, and subcontractors. Possess a Class A CDL to drive a truck and trailer combination over 26,000 Pounds. All work is in Hartford, Tolland, and Windham counties in Connecticut. There will be some laboring tasks along with operating equipment. Experience Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including tower cranes), backhoes, and front loader trucks Hands-on experience with construction site activities including material handling and earthmoving operations Knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical components of heavy equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience driving commercial trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, or tankers Familiarity with construction safety regulations and occupational safety standards related to heavy equipment operation Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery using hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge Strong understanding of construction site protocols including PPE use, hazard recognition, and safety procedures Join us in building something extraordinary! Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
