Schedule:

Monday-Friday with some Saturdays and longer days as workload requires

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience and skill level Job Responsibilities Operate excavators, skid steers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Perform rough and finish grading Establish and maintain proper elevations, slopes, and drainage Grade and prepare gravel driveways, building pads, and job sites Perform excavation and site preparation Assist with land clearing and tree/brush removal Install and grade aggregate materials Perform drainage and culvert work Load trucks and move materials efficiently Complete daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance concerns Grease and properly maintain assigned equipment Keep equipment, trucks, trailers, and jobsites clean and organized Assist with ground work when necessary — this is not a position where you will sit in the machine all day Follow company safety procedures and job site requirements Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship What We're Looking For Experience matters for this position. We need someone who can get into a machine and confidently perform the work without being taught the fundamentals of operating or grading.

The right person will be:

Experienced in grade work Experienced operating excavators, skid steers, and able to drive/back up trucks with trailers Able to perform both rough and finish grading Able to understand slope, drainage, and elevations Comfortable working around trucks, trailers, equipment, and active jobsites Independent and able to work without constant supervision Able to work effectively as part of a crew Self-motivated Coachable A problem solver Detail-oriented Focused on quality and getting the job done right the first time Productive and task-oriented Willing to work hard and put in long days when necessary Punctual and dependable Responsible with company equipment Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold, mud, dust, and changing weather conditions Willing to get out of the machine and help the crew when needed Professional and respectful on customer properties Someone who acts with integrity and does what they say they will do Requirements Previous professional heavy equipment operating experience
