Job Description

The Basketball Scorekeeper/Clock Operator is responsible for operating the scoreboard and maintaining records of scheduled basketball games. This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor. The pay for this position is $15.00 per game. Games are on Monday evenings, Nov 16th - Jan for adult games and Saturday mornings, Jan 9th - Feb for youth games. These positions will remain open until filled.

Keeps accurate records of the basketball game such as scoring, time-outs, fouls, etc.
Operates scoreboard in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to see play with sufficient clarity to maintain accurate scoring records.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Recreation.
Must be at least 14 yrs. (with required job permit) of age.
Must possess knowledge of the Rules of Play standard to the game of basketball
Ability to operate a scoreboard or learn how to.
Prior score keeping experience is desirable.
Ability to see play with sufficient clarity to maintain accurate score keeping.
Ability to establish good working relationships with officials, coaches, players, supervisors and other employees.
Ability to be on time to scheduled shifts and to notify your supervisor if unable to work.
Ability to work a flexible schedule
