Job Description

The Basketball Scorekeeper/Clock Operator is responsible for operating the scoreboard and maintaining records of scheduled basketball games. This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor. The pay for this position is $15.00 per game. Games are on Monday evenings, Nov 16th - Jan for adult games and Saturday mornings, Jan 9th - Feb for youth games. These positions will remain open until filled.
  • Keeps accurate records of the basketball game such as scoring, time-outs, fouls, etc.
  • Operates scoreboard in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to see play with sufficient clarity to maintain accurate scoring records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Recreation.
  • Must be at least 14 yrs. (with required job permit) of age.
  • Must possess knowledge of the Rules of Play standard to the game of basketball
  • Ability to operate a scoreboard or learn how to.
  • Prior score keeping experience is desirable.
  • Ability to see play with sufficient clarity to maintain accurate score keeping.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with officials, coaches, players, supervisors and other employees.
  • Ability to be on time to scheduled shifts and to notify your supervisor if unable to work.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
