Lead Painter / Foreman Sterling Painting Group LLC — Puget Sound / South Sound Area, WA About Us Sterling Painting Group is a Washington-licensed general contractor specializing in painting, drywall, and insurance restoration work across the greater Seattle/Puget Sound region. We handle both commercial and residential projects — new construction, large multi-family complexes, remodels, and fire/water restoration. Position Summary We're looking for an experienced Lead Painter/Foreman to run day-to-day operations on our job sites. This person owns quality, safety, and production — leading crews, managing schedules, and making sure every job meets Sterling's standards from prep through final walkthrough. Responsibilities Lead and supervise painting (and drywall, as needed) crews on assigned job sites Review plans, scope of work, and specs; plan daily/weekly production to stay on schedule Enforce quality control — surface prep, product application, mil thickness, color/sheen accuracy, and clean lines Conduct daily jobsite safety checks; enforce PPE, ladder/scaffold safety, and OSHA compliance Hold toolbox talks and address hazards before they become incidents Assign tasks, mentor crew members, and manage productivity/performance on site Track material usage and coordinate with PM on ordering and deliveries Communicate with property owners, GCs, or property managers on-site as the face of the crew Identify and flag change orders, scope gaps, or additional damage (especially on restoration jobs) Complete daily job logs, photos, and progress reports for the office Perform quality final walkthroughs and punch-list work before job closeout Qualifications 5+ years of professional painting experience, including 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role Strong working knowledge of prep, application, and finish standards for interior/exterior work Experience running a crew and holding people accountable to a schedule Knowledge of jobsite safety practices;
OSHA 10/30
a plus Comfortable communicating with clients, GCs, and adjusters on-site Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to read plans/specs and estimate material needs Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding Preferred Journeyman level painter Drywall finishing skills Spray equipment experience Insurance restoration experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady, year-round work with growth opportunity Leadership role with an established, licensed contractor [Benefits package to be established]
