Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team to tackle an Apartment Complex Project. This position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing techniques, construction practices, and mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship on every job. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your expertise and support the efficient operation of building infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation and repairs.
Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues and ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project tasks.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues within plumbing systems using technical knowledge of schematics and system layouts.
Assist in remodeling, assembly, or handyman tasks as needed to support project completion.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used for project records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations at all times.
Experience
Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber or in a similar construction plumbing role with a minimum of several years on-site experience.
Strong background in construction site work, including familiarity with heavy lifting and working at heights or confined spaces.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to plumbing and mechanical systems.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, pipe threading techniques, welding processes, and general mechanical principles.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe fabrication equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with construction safety protocols, heavy lifting procedures, and commercial driving licenses is advantageous.
Additional handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus for versatile project support.
