Responsibilities Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and specifications Utilize Fishbowl inventory management system, or similar platforms to process purchase orders and manage procurement workflows Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements Monitor inventory levels using materials management tools and coordinate replenishments to prevent stock shortages Support vendor relationship management by resolving issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or invoice discrepancies Analyze Excel data for procurement trends, cost savings opportunities, and supplier performance metrics Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier information within accounting software and supply chain management systems Skills Proficiency in Fishbowl Inventory management system, or equivalent platforms for procurement activities Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain processes Experience with purchasing management systems that are technically supported within organizations Excellent vendor communication skills with a focus on negotiation and relationship building Ability to analyze data using spreadsheets (Excel) for strategic sourcing and pricing decisions Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and direct negotiation procurement strategies Familiarity with sourcing techniques, vendor negotiation tactics, and procurement best practices Ability to support supply chain management initiatives through effective inventory management and cost analysis Join us as a Purchasing Associate and become a key contributor to our operational excellence!
