Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch activities for freight shipments, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling using our transportation management systems Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers via multi-line phone systems, maintaining clear and professional phone etiquette to provide updates and resolve issues promptly. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Manage internal communication channels to relay dispatch instructions, update status reports, and coordinate shipping & receiving activities seamlessly. Maintain accurate data entry related to freight movements, vehicle status, and shipment documentation using Microsoft Office applications and logistics software like SyteLine and Fleet Management systems. Support supply chain operations by analyzing transportation data, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and assisting in logistics planning. Ensure adherence to safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies while managing vehicle dispatching processes efficiently. Qualifications Proven at least 2 years experience in OTR transportation operations or logistics dispatching Strong knowledge of transportation management systems - we use Prophesy Familiarity with

GPS, GIS

technology, fleet management tools, and vehicle dispatch software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone call management expertise. Ability to analyze transportation data critically to optimize routes and improve overall dispatch efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with data entry accuracy. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to freight shipping & receiving and road transportation safety standards.
