This position plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of our warehouse by receiving incoming materials, maintaining an organized inventory, and preparing materials for our flooring installers. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. This is a full-time, daytime position with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and store flooring materials throughout the warehouse. Unload incoming delivery trucks and verify that materials are received and stored properly. Organize and place incoming materials in their designated warehouse locations. Pick and stage materials for upcoming flooring installations. Load materials onto installers' vans and other company or delivery vehicles. Maintain an organized warehouse so materials can be located and retrieved efficiently. Keep pallet racks, aisles, loading areas, and workspaces clean and free of hazards. Assist with general warehouse cleaning and housekeeping throughout the day. Follow all company safety procedures while operating forklifts and handling materials. Help maintain a safe working environment for employees, installers, vendors, and visitors. Assist with other warehouse-related duties as needed. Qualifications Previous forklift operating experience preferred. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a forklift around pallet racking, vehicles, and other employees. Ability to lift and move flooring materials and other heavy products as required. Strong attention to organization and detail. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workplace. About the Position This is a hands-on position that requires the employee to stay active throughout the workday. A successful candidate will take ownership of keeping the warehouse organized, ensuring materials are handled properly, and helping our installers get the correct materials loaded and ready for their jobs.
