Material Handler - $18-20/HR Job Description The Forklift Driver/Material Handler plays a crucial role in operating material-handling equipment, such as forklifts, to receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and supplies effectively. Using wireless RF scanning equipment, this role ensures accurate material management and disposition. Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, to move racks, containers, pallets, and crates. Move, locate, relocate, load, unload, and stack materials in designated areas. Perform routine daily equipment inspections and report any issues. Gather finished orders for movement to the outbound shipping area. Ensure products are labelled correctly and free from damage, overages, and shortages. Complete all related paperwork accurately. Adhere to quality and customer service standards established by the company. Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines. Ensure materials are properly stacked and secured for transport. Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, and cardboard. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Essential Skills Proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment. Ability to use wireless RF scanning equipment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork. Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in material handling and general labor. Knowledge of production processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $22.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
