Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, and results-driven General Manager (GM) to oversee daily operations at our Baumann Chevrolet and Baumann Ford locations in Genoa, OH . As the General Manager (GM) , you will hold ultimate accountability for dealership profitability (P&L), customer retention, volume growth, and team culture. You will lead department heads across New & Used Sales, Finance & Insurance (F&I), Service, Parts, and Office Administration to deliver operational excellence and model the Baumann commitment to customer care and community stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Financial Leadership:

Drive dealership profitability with full P&L accountability, managing operating budgets, inventory, expenses, and daily performance metrics.

Sales & F&I Execution:

Partner with the General Sales Manager to set aggressive volume goals, optimize inventory turn rates, refine digital marketing strategies, and maximize compliant F&I revenue.

Fixed Operations Oversight:

Work alongside Service and Parts management to drive technician productivity, service bay throughput, fixed coverage, and high customer satisfaction scores (CSI).

Team Development & Culture:

Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent. Foster a supportive, accountable workplace culture aligned with our "Baumann family" values and career growth philosophy.

OEM Relations & Compliance:

Maintain strong relationships with factory reps, ensure OEM brand standards and facility compliance, and secure all available factory incentives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Automotive Dealership Management experience (Current General Manager, General Sales Manager, or Fixed Operations Director).

Track Record:

Proven history of P&L management, driving sales volume, maintaining high CSI scores, and building strong dealership teams.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) such as CDK Global, along with modern CRM platforms.

Licensing:

Valid driver's license with a clean record; willingness to undergo standard background and pre-employment screening.
