2996666716-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hartford Healthcare is seeking a Wound Program Specialist to lead and coordinate comprehensive wound care services across our Healthcare & Medical Services network. In this role, you will develop and implement evidence-based wound management protocols, support complex patient care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize healing outcomes and reduce complications. Responsibilities include staff education, data tracking, quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and update evidence-based wound care protocols and pathways. Provide expert consultation for patients with complex or non-healing wounds. Educate and mentor clinical staff on wound assessment, treatment, and prevention. Monitor wound care outcomes, track quality metrics, and lead improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards related to wound care. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case managers to coordinate care plans. Evaluate and recommend wound care products, dressings, and technologies. Participate in case reviews, rounds, and interdisciplinary meetings. Serve as a resource for patient and family education on wound care and prevention. Contribute to policy development and best-practice guidelines for wound management across the system.
