This is an in-person, on-site position. Remote or hybrid work is not available. The Match Support Specialist will work in person at our Greensboro office and at two partner sites every Wednesday and Thursday located in High Point. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally between work locations are required. Schedule & On-Site Requirements Approximately 20 hours per week, ideally Monday-Thursday, 1:30-6:00 p.m with flexibility on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9:00-5pm

at Partner Site 3:00-6pm 5-6 Saturdays per year: Required for special events, activities, or program needs. There is no remote-work option for this position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with children, families, volunteers, schools, and community partners in person. The role involves approximately 60% office-based work and 40% site/community-based work , including partner-site visits, school visits, family/home visits, mentoring activities, field trips, and community events. What You'll Do Recruit, interview, and enroll volunteer mentors and families. Build positive relationships with families, volunteers, schools, businesses, colleges, and community partners. Conduct community outreach and represent Big Brothers Big Sisters at events and community activities. Help thoughtfully match youth with caring adult mentors based on compatibility, interests, and needs. Develop and maintain supportive relationships with mentors, youth, and families throughout the life of each match. Monitor mentoring relationships and help ensure safe, successful experiences for everyone involved. Spend regular time at our partner sites and schools interacting with youth and supporting program activities. Conduct family/home visits as needed. Maintain accurate case documentation and program records. Celebrate youth accomplishments and milestones through activities and events. Communicate regularly with volunteers, families, schools, and community partners. Participate in team meetings, training, and other agency activities. The ideal candidate will have:

A bachelor's degree required; Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Recreation, or a related field preferred. A genuine passion for helping children, families, and communities thrive. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to connect comfortably with people from a variety of backgrounds. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and responsibilities. Sound judgment, dependability, and attention to detail. Comfort working directly with people in schools, community settings, and partner locations. The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of a team. Fluent English and Spanish skills preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness and ability to travel locally between the office, partner after-school sites, schools, homes, and community locations.
