Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Regional Coordinator to oversee the delivery of all prevention program services within the assigned region. The coordinator will supervise full-time counselors in accordance with program policies and foster strong partnerships within culturally diverse communities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support underserved populations through collaboration with Catholic schools located throughout Queens. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for primary prevention.

Duties:

Manage the delivery of all program services within the assigned region. Supervise full-time counselors in accordance with program policies. Participate in the selection of appropriate school sites for counselor placements. Maintain regular communication with school administrators in the region. Conduct 6-month and Annual Evaluations Formally observe counselors when delivering Evidence-Based Prevention Programs to ensure Fidelity Must be willing to model evidence-based prevention program delivery when asked by the Borough Director Adept and skillful at engaging parents to participate in in-person and virtual programming offered by counselors at assigned schools. Pleasant and personable disposition and willingness to work collaboratively with the Borough Director Establish and maintain relationships with community mental health centers and drug treatment facilities to facilitate appropriate referrals. Assess the need for and organize training sessions for school faculties and community agencies upon request. Evaluate students for referral to program therapists or community mental health centers. Provide short-term counseling to individual students as necessary. Deliver direct services to students, including evidence-based curriculum presentations. Conduct parenting services through groups, events, and informational awareness initiatives. Attend community meetings and engage with applicable legislators for advocacy efforts. Maintain all requisite forms and records. Engage in regular clinical consultation and supervision with the Borough Director. Attend all required program meetings. Assist and undertake additional tasks as directed by the Executive Director and Borough Director. Flexible and willing to provide support during an emergency or crisis Must possess reliable transportation to travel throughout the region Requirements Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams or programs in a school setting Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively Knowledge of program development, project management, and marketing strategies Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations Familiarity with primary prevention, public health principles, and social work practices Ability to collect and analyze data for program evaluation purposes Proficiency in social media management tools and digital communication platforms CPR certification preferred; additional certifications in public health or social services a plus Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as monthly reporting Bilingual abilities highly desirable; experience teaching or working with youth programs is advantageous Strong leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset to work effectively with the Executive Director, Borough Director, and colleagues.

Education and Licensure:

A license or advanced degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field. Certification as a CPP (Credentialed Prevention Professional) is required or must be obtained within one year of hiring. A minimum of seven years of administrative experience in alcohol and substance abuse prevention. Experience in counseling high-risk youth on issues related to alcohol and drug use. Pay:

$58,251.51 - $62,000.00 per year
