High School/ Middle School Restorative Facilitator/Part-Time Position We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now Inc Spring Valley, NY Job Details Part-time $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish Restorative practices in classroom management Interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree Experience working with middle schoolers Working with students Conflict resolution Social-emotional learning (SEL) programs Working with youth Full Job Description Job Summary The Nurturing Inclusive Community Environment (NICE) is a project of We Oppose Violence Everywhere Now (WOVEN) dedicated to ending violence through restorative practices, conflict resolution, SEL (Social Emotional Learning), and youth advocacy. This role is a restorative practices position centered on helping students build positive relationships, repair harm, and develop lifelong SEL skills. Key Responsibilities:
Implement Social-Emotional Learning programs, conflict resolution strategies, and restorative practices during and after school. Serve as a first responder in student crises. Lead classroom circles and activities for grades 7-12 that build community and engagement. Support students, faculty, and community events that enhance school culture. Document services and interactions using Google Drive. Represent the N.I.C.E. team at school and community events. Collaborate with teachers on classroom and behavior management strategies. Participate in professional development and N.I.C.E. staff meetings to continuously improve programs. Celebrate and monitor student successes, supporting data collection for program evaluation.
