Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager

ResponsibilitiesThe Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager supports environmental consulting projects through fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and project coordination activities. This role provides foundational experience in environmental consulting services, including due diligence, assessment, remediation, and compliance. The Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager develops technical competency, project understanding, and early project management skills under supervision while demonstrating ECS Core Values.



AsResponsibilitiesAssists with groundwater, soil, and media sampling investigationsSupports boring layouts and evaluates site access with oversightAssists with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenanceSupports underground storage tank (UST) assessmentsDocuments site conditions and communicates findings to supervisorsInteracts and collaborates with staff members on a variety of environmental projectsAttends project meetings with senior staff and participates in project discussionsInterfaces with contractors, clients, and site personnel during field activitiesCommunicates daily with project teams and keeps supervisors informed of site conditions and project needsImplements field tasks and project activities as directed by senior staffAssists with scheduling, training, and oversight of environmental techniciansSupports project setup and implementation under supervisionCollects, documents, and reports field observations accuratelyAssists with environmental sampling, data collection, and analysisSupports preparation of reports, calculations, and project documentationParticipates in project coordination, including tracking tasks and deliverablesAssists with proposal preparation and project planning activitiesPerforms additional technical and project support duties as assigned QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's and/or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting0 years of related experienceIf driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is requiredBasic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.



Basic knowledge of environmental permitting processes, regulations, and test methodsStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to work effectively in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness to learn, take direction, and develop professionallyBasic decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in outdoor environments and varying site conditionsAbility to lift and carry field equipment (~40 lbs)Must have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policiesMilitary QualificationsThe following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications":



E-5The expected pay range for this role and location is $20-$25/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
