Under the supervision of the Project AWARE Project Director, the Local Education Agency (LEA) Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Empower Somerset and Franklin Township Public Schools (FTPS) to support the implementation of the Project AWARE initiative. This position will coordinate day-to-day school-based activities, facilitate communication among school personnel and community partners, support implementation of evidence-based prevention and mental health initiatives, and assist with meeting grant objectives.
The LEA Partner Project Manager will work collaboratively with school administrators, student support staff, behavioral health providers, and community organizations to strengthen systems that improve student mental health, prevent substance use, enhance school climate, and increase access to behavioral health services.
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Required:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in project coordination, education, behavioral health, prevention, or community engagement, experience working within or partnering with K-12 school systems, knowledge of youth mental health, substance use prevention, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral health systems, strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, experience coordinating meetings, trainings, and multi-agency collaborations.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between Empower Somerset and Franklin Township Public Schools to support successful implementation of Project AWARE activities. Coordinate and monitor day-to-day implementation of school-based Project AWARE initiatives across participating schools. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with school administrators, counselors, social workers, teachers, school nurses, student assistance counselors, and community behavioral health partners. Coordinate scheduling and logistics for Project AWARE trainings, workshops, meetings, and community engagement activities. Assist the Project Director in maintaining communication with school leadership and project partners regarding grant activities, timelines, and deliverables. Participate in advisory council meetings and support coordination of meeting materials, agendas, and follow-up activities. Other duties as assigned by the
