Job Description

We're Hiring:
Day Habilitation Supervisor New Hope | Vocational Services Department | Carroll, Iowa Lead with purpose. Build community. Be the Hope. New Hope is looking for a compassionate, creative Day Habilitation Supervisor to lead a meaningful program that helps individuals grow, connect, and thrive. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys supporting a team, building community connections, and making a positive difference every day. You'll guide person-centered activities that support socialization, community integration, skill-building, independence, and daily living skills in a welcoming, people-first environment. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and support the Day Habilitation team. Plan engaging activities that promote community involvement, social connections, self-advocacy, daily living skills, mobility, communication, and personal growth. Support person-centered goals and positive outcomes for individuals served. Build strong relationships with individuals, families, staff, and community partners. Maintain a safe, welcoming program environment and ensure compliance with agency, HCBS, CARF, safety, and program standards. Coordinate staffing, schedules, documentation, supplies, budgets, and daily operations. Skills That Help You Shine Strong written and verbal communication skills Organization, follow-through, and self-motivation Supervisory, coaching, and team-building skills Ability to work well with individuals served, staff, families, and community members Requirements Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and insurability under New Hope auto insurance Ability to obtain and maintain a Class D-3 Chauffeur's License Ability to provide limited agency transportation Ability to assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, and adaptive equipment as needed Commitment to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and people-first practices
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Associate's degree in education, specialized technical training or certification, or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience required; 2-4 years preferred. Experience in education, human services, disability services, sociology, psychology, HR, marketing, volunteering, or a related field is helpful.
