As our designated home care supervisor and the first member of our office team, you will play a central role in launching our independently owned and operated agency and will grow with it as we expand.
Home Care Supervisor & Scheduler Benefits:

Home Care Supervisor & Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Designated Supervisor
- Serve as the agency's designated supervisor of home services workers under Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requirements: deliver and document caregiver orientation, required annual training, and competency checks; remain available to caregivers for ongoing education and client-care questions; and complete supervisory visits in clients' homes as required
- Caregiver Recruiting
- Manage the full recruiting process for new caregivers: post openings, establish new recruiting avenues, screen and interview applicants, and build a caregiver pipeline ahead of client demand
- Hiring & Onboarding
- Complete all required hiring steps, including background screenings, Illinois Health Care Worker Registry checks, reference checks, and document collection
- Scheduling
- Match caregivers with clients based on skills, attributes, and availability; build and maintain schedules; confirm and update caregiver availability including vacation, sick time, and holidays; quickly fill open shifts and call-offs
- Caregiver Support & Retention
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for caregivers; communicate regularly, lead retention and recognition efforts, and handle caregiver HR tasks
- Administration & Intake
- Answer incoming calls and inquiries, capture new client inquiries for the owner's follow-up, and maintain accurate client and employee files and supportive documentation in line with IDPH and HIPAA requirements
- On-Call Coverage
- Share an after-hours on-call rotation with the owner to handle call-offs and urgent scheduling needs
- Goals & Growth
- Meet recruiting, retention, and scheduling goals set by the franchise owner and help build the office's systems and processes from the ground up
Home Care Supervisor & Scheduler Requirements:
- Required Experience
- Within the last five years, at least two years of experience working in a home health, home services, facility-based healthcare, or home nursing setting; or currently in a supervisor or trainer role with a home services agency (IDPH supervisor qualification)
- Preferred Experience
- Caregiver recruiting and/or scheduling experience in home care, home health, senior living, or healthcare staffing strongly preferred; supervisory or training experience a plus
- Education
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Skills
- Relationship building, exemplary communication, strong organizational and time management skills, customer service, and comfort with scheduling/EHR software (AxisCare experience a plus)
- Other
- Valid Illinois driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance; able to visit clients' homes across South Cook and Will counties; must pass a background check
