Field Specialist Evening Commercial Cleaning Operations

Job Description

A hands-on field operations role—not a desk supervisor position Anderson Cleaning is hiring Field Specialists to support evening commercial cleaning operations throughout Western Massachusetts. The Field Specialist is a hands-on, mobile member of the operations team. You will clean buildings, cover open assignments, inspect completed work, deliver supplies, respond to customer concerns, support Cleaning Specialists, and document what is happening in the field. This position does not have authority to hire, fire, suspend, or independently discipline employees. Field Specialists observe, communicate, document, and address immediate operational problems. Management reviews the information and makes employment decisions. The right person combines strong commercial cleaning ability with professional judgment, clear communication, dependable follow-through, and respect for both customers and coworkers. How the shift works
  • Report to the Anderson Cleaning office in West Springfield at approximately 4:30 or 5:00 p.m.
  • Clock in at the office and receive the assigned company vehicle, company phone, supplies, and route or task list.
  • Travel to multiple customer facilities during the shift.
  • Return the company vehicle, phone, keys, documentation, and required materials to the office at the end of the route.
  • Remain clocked in through the required return to the office. Required route travel is paid working time.
  • A normal full route may last approximately eight hours, but ending times vary based on assignments, call-outs, customer needs, and completion of the route.
  • Occasional Saturday work may be required. Holiday work depends on customer operating schedules. Applicants must be able to work late-evening hours and remain available until their accepted route is complete. What you will do
  • Perform commercial cleaning at offices, medical offices, and other assigned facilities.
  • Cover Cleaning Specialist absences and open assignments.
  • Inspect buildings and document results accurately using the company's mobile task system.
  • Correct cleaning or supply problems that can be safely resolved during the visit.
  • Receive and document customer concerns, take immediate action when needed to protect the customer, and report the facts to management.
  • Communicate work expectations and field observations respectfully to Cleaning Specialists without making independent disciplinary decisions.
  • Deliver cleaning products, equipment, uniform shirts, keys, and other operational materials.
  • Complete or verify facility and supply inventories.
  • Use commercial floor-care equipment, including buffers, auto-scrubbers, and related machines.
  • Safeguard company vehicles, customer keys, alarm codes, confidential information, and access to secure areas.
  • Follow safety, chemical-handling, bloodborne-pathogen, healthcare, and confidentiality procedures applicable to each assignment. What Anderson Cleaning provides
  • $18.00
  • 20.00 per hour.
  • W-2 employment.
  • Approximately 20-40 or more hours per week, depending on the position accepted and operational need.
  • Overtime opportunities for eligible employees when business needs require additional hours; overtime is not guaranteed.
  • Paid onboarding and job-specific training.
  • Company vehicle and company phone during the assigned route.
  • Paid travel time during the route.
  • Uniform shirt, cleaning supplies, equipment, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Biweekly pay by direct deposit.
  • Earned sick time in accordance with Massachusetts law.
  • Full-time employees who regularly work 40 hours per week may be eligible for paid time off, health and dental coverage, and a retirement plan with a company match of 100% of employee contributions up to 3% of pay, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
  • Same-week interviews and immediate openings for qualified applicants. Minimum requirements
  • At least one year of hands-on commercial cleaning experience.
  • Experience using commercial floor-care equipment such as buffers and auto-scrubbers.
  • Valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record acceptable under Anderson Cleaning's applicable vehicle-insurance requirements.
  • Ability to report reliably to the West Springfield office at approximately 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. and work late-evening routes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers, employees, and management when required for safe and effective job performance. Spanish communication ability is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for task lists, timekeeping, documentation, photographs, inventory, and communication.
  • Professional judgment, calm communication, accurate documentation, and the ability to distinguish an immediate customer risk from an issue that should be reported to management.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the operations team.
  • Ability to remain on your feet throughout the shift and frequently walk, bend, reach, kneel, climb stairs, push carts or equipment, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work safely around ordinary commercial cleaning products while using the personal protective equipment Anderson Cleaning provides.
Prior supervisory experience and bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are helpful but are not required. This role is evaluated on cleaning competence, judgment, communication, documentation, and reliability—not on having held a supervisor title. Application process To be considered, you must complete the official application at https://andersoncleaning.com/careers. An Indeed application by itself is not a completed Anderson Cleaning application. Applicants who satisfy the minimum requirements may be invited to a brief telephone screening and a structured interview. Employment may be contingent upon completion of job-related background screening after the initial application. Driving the company vehicle is contingent upon completion of an authorized motor vehicle record review and satisfaction of applicable insurance requirements. All screening will be conducted where required and permitted by law. Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered consistent with applicable law. Equal employment opportunity and accommodations Anderson Cleaning is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, pregnancy or a pregnancy-related condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants and employees with disabilities and for other legally protected accommodation needs.
