Position Overview:
As a Care Coordinator (Scheduler), you will serve as the central point of communication between clients, caregivers, and internal departments to ensure quality care and uninterrupted service delivery. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and maintain caregiver schedules to ensure all client visits are staffed appropriately. Coordinate coverage for call-outs, schedule changes, and open shifts while minimizing disruptions to client care. Communicate regularly with caregivers, clients, and families regarding schedules and service needs. Match caregivers with clients based on skills, availability, personality, and care requirements. Monitor schedules and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and continuity of care. Collaborate with Recruiting, Quality Care, and Client Services teams to support overall operations. Document call-offs, attendance concerns, and schedule changes accurately. Respond promptly to urgent staffing situations and provide solutions to maintain client coverage. Utilize scheduling software and communication platforms to manage daily operations. Participate in rotating on-call, evening, or weekend responsibilities as assigned. Maintain knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and state requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, families, caregivers, and referral partners.
Qualifications:
Previous scheduling, customer service, healthcare, or home care experience preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional during urgent or stressful situations. Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. High school diploma required; additional education or healthcare experience preferred.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
