The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals. The Production Control (PC) Business Leader will supervise all aspects of PC and Stockroom operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvements. This role will supervise daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations and staffing to enable workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. The PC Business Leader must be able to effectively communicate and have strong planning skills. Particular emphasis must be given to deliverables as they relate to both, internal and external, customer satisfaction. Essential Functions Assist in PC/Material Handling budget planning; generate reports Set goals and make day to day decisions to ensure the team and company goals are being met Manage inventory plan and monitor plan to actual and adapt plan to meet changes in business goals or programs Manage vendor delinquencies and expedites when they do not meet the production plan Conduct presentations to shift employees; coordinate with Safety/Manufacturing/Engineering initiatives Track attendance; monitor and control overtime Draft and communicate performance evaluations Coach and counsel employees Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process Understand and Utilize ERP system Observe control points and equipment; identify and manage constraints; conduct Continuous Improvement Projects; implement cost reductions Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments Competencies Thoroughness and attention to details Technical Capacity (material planning, handling, & storage; transportation; vendor management) Strong computer skills (ERP, MS Office) Ethical Conduct Expediting Time Management Communication Skills Teamwork Think outside the box Issue resolution Inventory Control Software Operations management Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Performing the duties of this job will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand when necessary; requires walking, sitting and working on computer/phone. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/University or 7+years of relevant work experience At least 3 years of Supervisory or Management experience Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Preferred certifications: APICS-CPIM, CSCP and/or CLTD Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
