Full Job Description Overview The Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records throughout the facility. This role ensures product accuracy, proper documentation, and efficient material flow using ERP systems and Excel-based inventory tracking tools. The position supports production and customer requirements by maintaining organized warehouse operations and accurate stock levels. Duties Shipping Responsibilities Review and interpret packing lists and production documentation. Gather staged product and prepare shipments according to customer requirements. Verify product accuracy, quantities, labeling, and packaging prior to shipment. Enter shipment data into ERP system and generate shipping documentation. Communicate with customer service and production teams regarding order status or discrepancies. Maintain clean and organized shipping areas. Receiving & Materials Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against po's and packing slips. Accurately enter receipts into ERP system to maintain real-time inventory accuracy. Distribute materials to appropriate storage or production areas. Monitor material flow throughout the plant to support operational needs. Assist with material staging and internal transfers. Coordinate logistics activities related to shipping & receiving, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries while maintaining proper documentation. Inventory Control Focus Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP system. Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts per company schedule. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes. Develop and maintain organized storage systems to ensure inventory accuracy and accessibility. Track inventory levels for reporting, analysis, and reconciliation. Support improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Strong hands-on ERP experience (inventory management, shipping, receiving, reporting). Microsoft Excel proficiency Basic math skills and attention to detail. Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control practices. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to multi-task and exhibit hands-on style of leadership High school diploma or GED preferred. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred. Supervisor Experience Required Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required. Ability to work on a factory floor in a fast-paced environment. Manufacturing / warehouse setting. Exposure to typical factory conditions. Closed-toe shoes required. Additional PPE as required by company safety policies.
Pay:
$22.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
