Job Description

TMS Logistics Implementation Specialist (Remote) Lead the rollout of our Transportation Management System (TMS), partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Global Trade, site logistics leadership, and TMS partners to standardize processes, drive compliance, and support inbound shipping optimization. You'll train internal teams and external suppliers, manage system configuration and testing, and ensure compliance with global trade and ITAR requirements. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Work with site logistics leadership, supplier leadership, buyers, carriers, and TMS partner to ensure TMS process improvement, standardization, and complianceProvide feedback to preferred carrier partners on performance in coordination with Transportation Managers and TMS Control TowerComplete and maintain TMS implementation documentation for Standard Work, Process Alignment, and TrainingRecommend improvements and additions to the organization's use of TMS engineered optimizationsCommunicate project scope and status regularly to TMS Group Lead, PMO, SBU, site logistics leaders, and Supply Chain leadershipTrain internal operations personnel and external suppliers on the TMS platform; provide post-launch supportDevelop TMS inbound shipping processes, including supplier communications, standard work, workflow, and process documentationWork with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service) to design, develop, test, and deploy the TMS solutionManage design, configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of specialty logistics workflows and system updatesCommunicate critical TMS changes and disruptions to leadership, internal customers, and external suppliers/customersPartner with TMS outbound counterpart to share lessons learned and improve both flowsMaintain TMS integration and data documentation for
Standard Work, Process Alignment, and Training Required:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) + 5 years related experience; or advanced degree + 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience required
Preferred:
Background in domestic and international freight in North AmericaExperience implementing logistics process improvement projects across multiple modes (parcel, heavyweight air, truckload, LTL, dedicated carriage)Experience with TMS large-scale implementation (industrial/aerospace preferred)Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)Experience with a variety of shipping/transportation software systemsISM or APICS certification
