An established last-mile delivery contractor in Statesboro, GA is seeking a hands-on Lead Driver / Team Supervisor to help lead and support a growing delivery team. This is not a desk-only management position. The right person will be actively involved in daily operations, including helping load trucks in the morning, supporting dispatch, coaching drivers, handling day-to-day people issues, and delivering packages after dispatch as needed. We are looking for someone who is a strong leader, communicates well, holds people accountable, and is comfortable working alongside the team. Compensation $1,100-$1,300 per week Weekend availability is required, as our operation dispatches trucks six days a week, Monday through Saturday. Responsibilities Help lead morning dispatch and ensure drivers are prepared and ready to leave on time Assist with loading trucks when needed Deliver packages and run routes after dispatch as operational needs require Serve as a frontline leader for the driver team Coach drivers on performance, productivity, safety, attendance, and professionalism Address minor employee issues and help resolve conflicts Hold drivers accountable to company expectations Assist with new-driver training and onboarding Conduct ride-alongs and provide additional coaching when needed Help identify and address recurring performance problems Assist with call-outs, route coverage, rescues, and other daily operational challenges Communicate driver concerns and recurring issues to management Help maintain a positive team environment while still enforcing standards Work closely with management to ensure the daily plan is successfully executed

Our operation runs Monday through Saturday, and the schedule may vary depending on staffing and operational needs. Most weeks will consist of 5 or 6 working days. Candidates should be comfortable with early mornings, delivery operations, and a schedule that can change based on business needs. About the Role We are not simply looking for our next best driver. We are looking for someone who can lead people while working beside them. The ideal candidate is someone who can help load a truck in the morning, lead the team through dispatch, coach an employee when expectations are not being met, and then step into a delivery route when the operation needs additional support.

Pay:

$1,100.00 - $1,300.00 per week
