Crew Lead Position The Crew Lead is responsible for maintaining daily productivity, ensuring quality workmanship, and guiding/mentoring the crew when the Field Manager is not present. This position plays a key role in keeping job sites organized, safe, and productive. As the Crew Lead, you will oversee small crews to help ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining Springwood Builders' standard of craftsmanship. Pay & Benefits Hourly wage: $29

• $35+ depending on experience Paid trainings and skill development opportunities 3 days PTO after a 90-day probationary period + additional week after first year of employment.

Key Responsibilities Lead/Mentor apprentice and journeyman carpenters on job sites. Perform and oversee framing, finish carpentry, siding, and general residential construction work. Oversee daily jobsite tasks to ensure work is completed efficiently and within expected timelines. Maintain job site safety, organization, and cleanliness. Communicate project needs, materials, and potential issues with the Field Manager. Delegate tasks effectively and help keep the crew productive. Maintain company vehicles in a clean, organized, and properly stocked condition, ensuring necessary tools and materials are readily available. Utilize JobTread to manage and maintain job-related information, tasks, and updates as required. Ensure work meets Springwood Builders' standards for quality craftsmanship. Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients on site. Qualifications Strong carpentry experience in residential construction, 10+ years preferred. Ability to lead and support a small crew. Experience with JobTread or similar construction management software is preferred but not required. Highly skilled in both structural and finish carpentry tasks. Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in active construction environments. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Takes pride in quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Self-starter who keeps work moving and helps the crew stay productive. Must provide standard hand tools required for professional carpentry work. Work Environment Work takes place indoors and outdoors and may include exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and wind. The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing throughout the workday. Work may occasionally involve heights, confined spaces, or operating near construction equipment. Workdays typically begin at the Winterport shop at 6:30 AM, with travel to job sites as needed. Project schedules may occasionally require early mornings or overtime.
