Job Description
Start time 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m Pay rate $18/hr. M-F Midday shift Commerace location Main Responsibilities Shipping & Documentation Create and process BOLs
- Process small parcel orders in the WMS and shipping systems.
- Create and print shipping labels.
- Generate packing slips and other required shipping documents.
- Verify carrier service levels (Ground, 2-Day, Overnight, etc.).
- Create and maintain Bills of Lading (when required). Order Verification
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Ensure correct quantities, weights, and dimensions.
- Confirm customer routing and shipping requirements.
- Review orders for special handling instructions. Carrier Management
- Schedule carrier pickups.
- Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other parcel carriers.
- Resolve shipping exceptions and delivery issues.
- Track shipments and provide status updates. System Transactions
- Perform shipping confirmations in the WMS/ERP.
- Update shipment statuses.
- Research and correct shipping errors.
- Maintain shipping logs and reports. Customer & Internal Support
- Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status.
- Work with Customer Service, Traffic, and Warehouse Operations to resolve shipping issues.
- Assist with claims for lost or damaged shipments. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with customer routing guides.
- Follow company shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Help meet on-time shipping and OTIF goals. Key Skills
- Experience with WMS and shipping software (ProShip, GrandShipper, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Excel and email proficiency.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
