Our facility specializes in all aspects of fire truck and ambulance repair. As a Service Writer you will support our service department by creating and managing service orders, coordinating repairs, ordering parts, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and management. Position Qualifications:

Candidates must meet all the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for the position:

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age 3 years of Service Writer experience 3 years QuickBooks experience Working knowledge of vehicle mechanics Knowledge of Microsoft office, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Experience with inventory control systems Strong customer service relations Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Preferred requirements: Prior experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry

Responsibilities:

Greet customers and create a positive service experience. Write and manage service orders, estimates, and invoices accurately. Explain repairs, costs, and timelines to customers and obtain approvals. Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status and completion times. Order and track parts to ensure timely repairs. Coordinate with technicians and service staff to keep workflow running smoothly. Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly. Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, and service records. Follow company, manufacturer, warranty, and safety policies. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support department goals, efficiency, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
