Pohanka Automotive is looking for an energetic, professional, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative / Service Concierge to join our fast-paced, high-volume Service Department. This position plays an important role in the overall customer experience. You will be one of the first people our customers meet when they arrive and one of the last people they interact with when their service is complete. From greeting customers and assisting with the service process to cashiering, vehicle delivery, and possibly parking/staging vehicles, your goal is to make every visit smooth, friendly, and professional. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Concierge Duties Greet every customer promptly with a warm, professional attitude Assist customers with check-in and direct them to the appropriate Service Advisor Answer basic customer questions and help guide customers through the service process Assist with customer updates and communication as needed Help create a welcoming and organized environment for every customer Provide additional assistance to customers who may need help entering or exiting their vehicles Cashiering & Customer Checkout Assist customers with the checkout process when service is completed Accurately process customer payments and provide receipts Review basic repair order information with customers as needed Obtain required customer signatures and documentation Coordinate with Service Advisors to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery Maintain accuracy and professionalism when handling customer transactions Service Lane Operations Help maintain an organized and efficient service drive Direct incoming and outgoing traffic Assist with vehicle intake and customer arrival Manage vehicle keys and basic customer information Keep the customer waiting and service lane areas clean and professional Communicate with Service Advisors and other team members to keep customers moving efficiently Transportation Coordination Assist customers with loaner vehicles, shuttle transportation, and rideshare arrangements Help coordinate customer pickup and vehicle delivery Communicate transportation needs to the appropriate team members Vehicle Handling Perform basic vehicle walkarounds and identify visible pre-existing damage Safely move, park, stage, and retrieve customer vehicles when needed Organize vehicles for efficient technician access and customer delivery Ensure vehicles are properly staged and ready when customers arrive for pickup Qualifications We are looking for someone who is: Energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused Friendly and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of customers Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment A strong communicator Professional in appearance and attitude Dependable, punctual, and ready to work Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Interested in learning and growing within the automotive industry Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to safely operate and park a variety of customer vehicles Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Basic computer and payment-processing skills preferred Previous customer service, cashier, hospitality, dealership, or retail experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay Weekly direct deposit Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid vacation, holidays, and personal days Flexible scheduling Closed Sundays Career advancement opportunities Employee discounts on vehicles, service, and parts High-energy, team-driven work environment Location Pohanka Automotive Capitol Heights, Maryland Conveniently located off Exit 13 of the Capital Beltway
