Candidates must be versatile as this position performs many diverse duties from the service desk, assist with rentals, customer service and good communication with customers, as well as operating the tractor or assisting in the yard. Mus be available to work weekends. Duties Greet customers promptly and professionally, listening carefully to their marine service needs and concerns Write detailed repair orders, accurately documenting customer complaints, vehicle conditions, and requested services Use estimating software to prepare clear, comprehensive repair estimates for marine engines, hulls, or related equipment Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer information and ensure timely completion of repairs Assist in upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, or mechanical repairs based on customer needs and vehicle condition Maintain accurate records of all transactions including cash handling, parts sales, and service documentation Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, pricing options, and recommended maintenance plans Experience Prior experience in automotive or marine service writing or dealership environment preferred Mechanical experience with boats or marine engines highly advantageous Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts Proven ability in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service Experience in auto service management or collision repair is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing top-tier marine service experiences.
