Duties Coordinate and dispatch vehicles efficiently using dispatch management systems and vehicle dispatch software, ensuring timely pickups. Manage incoming customer inquiries via multi-line phone systems, providing clear information and resolving issues with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain accurate data entry of payment and details, driver logs, and delivery schedules in systems such as Oracle Transportation Management. Communicate internally with drivers, p, and logistics personnel to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any scheduling conflicts or delays. Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Handle shipping & receiving documentation accurately while adhering to safety standards related to road transportation operations. Support freight management by coordinating with supply chain partners, managing paperwork, and ensuring proper documentation for shipments. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions about shipments, delivery timelines, or freight status via phone or email while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. Assist in logistics planning by analyzing transportation data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall fleet management strategies. Experience Proven experience in transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination within a supply chain environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of road transportation operations, fleet management software, and vehicle dispatching procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively while demonstrating professional phone etiquette. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and internal communication purposes. Understanding of DOT regulations related to freight shipping and vehicle operation compliance. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Analysis skills for reviewing transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements or cost savings.
