Job Description

Overview We install and support audio/video systems, conference room AV, sound and speaker systems, digital signage, structured low-voltage cabling, (and more), for clients across the region. We're hiring an entry-level AV Installation Technician to join our field crews and learn the trade from the ground up: cable pulls, terminations, speaker and mount installation, and system wiring, under the direction of experienced lead technicians. We provide paid, on-the-job training. If you've worked in AV, low-voltage/structured cabling, stagehand/live-event production, home theater, security systems, or a related hands-on trade, we especially want to hear from you. Duties Pull cable and complete basic category (Cat5e/Cat6) terminations Install speakers, mounts, and mounting cans Cut openings for plates and mounts in wood framing and drywall Read and follow basic plan sets and wiring diagrams Accurately complete daily time entries Follow site safety procedures and direction from lead technicians and site supervisors Travel to job sites across the state, roughly 70% of the time Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Comfortable working on ladders and lifts, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Able to follow direction, work safely, and function as part of a crew Preferred (not required): prior experience in AV/audio-visual, low-voltage or structured cabling, stagehand/live production, home theater installation, security/alarm systems, electrical, or a similar hands-on trade This role is a starting point, not a ceiling. Technicians who show up reliably and build their skills typically move into Lead Installer and AV Technician roles with higher pay and more autonomy on-site.
