9652482-74005 Job Description Step into a pivotal educational role supporting middle school students as a Sign Language Interpreter on a part-time contract basis near Bartlesville, OK. This assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 20, 2027, offering the opportunity to have a long-term impact. The current schedule is either 12:00-3:30pm or 8:30am-12:00pm CST, with future potential for full-time hours. Both virtual and onsite work are considered, although being present onsite is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience:

Hold a minimum 3.5 score on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Experience or certification as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings, particularly at the middle school level Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators, students, and families Comfortable providing both onsite and virtual (VOCO) interpreting services if needed

Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 interpreting support for middle school students in classroom settings, ensuring access to curriculum and school activities Foster engagement and inclusion for deaf or hard-of-hearing students Aide in communication between students, school staff, and parents, accurately and confidentially conveying spoken and signed content Adapt interpreting techniques to suit varying educational tasks and student needs This position is well-suited for candidates seeking a flexible schedule, with part-time hours ideal for those balancing personal and professional commitments.
