Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a middle school student as a Sign Language Interpreter. This part-time position is based near Bartlesville, OK, with working hours from 12:00-3:30 pm CST, and the possibility for future full-time hours. You'll play a crucial role in enabling access to education for a student needing 1:1 communication support. This assignment starts as soon as possible and extends through May 20, 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:

Current sign language interpreting credentials Minimum score of 3.5 on the EIPA required Experience working within school settings, preferably at the middle school level Comfortable interpreting in both onsite and virtual (VOCO) environments, with a preference for onsite Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation services for a middle school student during academic hours Ensure effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers Assist in fostering an inclusive classroom environment Maintain confidentiality and support the educational goals set by the team Adapt interpreting techniques to suit changing classroom dynamics and student needs
