Job Description
Job Overview Description:
The Asian Liver Center (ALC) at Stanford University is the first U.S. non-profit addressing the high prevalence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asian and Asian American communities. Founded in 1996, ALC fights hepatitis B through
CARE:
Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, and Education/Outreach.
Internship Details:
Internship dates are from September 8, 2026 - June 3, 2027 Up to 10 hours per week during business hours, M-F, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Weekly internship meeting. Time to be mutually agreed upon by all interns. Attendance and participation from all interns for the annual youth leadership conference and designated outreach events.
Responsibilities:
Edit short-form and long-form video content for ALC campaigns and events (including Hepatitis Day Events, Join Jade Campaign, and other initiatives)
Create motion graphics, subtitles, animated CTAs, and branded video assets
Edit footage to be repurposable for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms
Manage and update ALC social media channels, especially Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn through both photo and video posts
Write engaging captions and post copy optimized for reach and audience engagement
Monitor social media trends and develop trendy content ideas for TikTok, Reels, and other short-form platforms
Maintain consistent branding, tone, and visual identity across video and social media content
Track social media performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Pursuing a BA in Film/Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related program
Eligible to work in the USA
Portfolio recommended
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other video editing tools
Experience creating or editing short-form video content for social media platforms
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn content formats
Awareness of current social media trends, especially Gen Z and short-form video trends
Understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, typography, branding, and audience engagement
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Ability to follow brand guidelines and take direction
